After over 20 years of gangbanging, Gus has a newfound passion for changing societal norms in some of East LA’s most dangerous neighborhoods.
In the late 80’s, Los Angeles was stricken with crippling gang violence. Gus Mojica was a member of one of these notorious gangs. He was in and out of jail until one fateful evening changed the course of his life, and inspired him to take a new path.
Today he works at a movie theater, as a volunteer at Homeboy Industries, as a coach for a t-ball league, and as a motivational speaker.
